Toghril

Toghril
(?-1282?)
   One of the slave nobles of Balban (1266-1286) who was appointed governor of Bengal in 1266-1267. He rebelled, assuming the sovereign title Sultan Mughis al-Din in 1279-1280. Balban marched to Lakhnauti, took Toghril prisoner, and put him to death in 1281-1282.
